The Al Galala International Film Festival (Sky City) is held annually in the first week of October. It is organized by the Magdy El-Bary Foundation for Culture, Arts, and Community Service, a non-profit, non-governmental organization. The foundation aims to spread artistic and cultural awareness, highlight Egyptian culture on a global scale, and has numerous activities in this field and others.

It conveys ideas of peacemaking, tolerance, and humanity, regardless of national or confessional affiliation. The Festival fulfills educational, aesthetic, and spiritual missions, and contributes positively to connecting the time-honored cultures of Egypt with world cultures, especially through cinema and its multiple art forms.”
